Environmental Health Safety Specialist

Description:

We are seeking an experienced EHS Specialist. This is an opportunity to be part of a mission-oriented team where your work will have a significant impact.


Responsibilities:

• Lead the development and execution of health and safety programs globally, collaborating across various teams and regions. • Oversee data entry related to metrics and procedures into the Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) management system. • Design and review EHS programs, policies, and training materials following applicable guidelines and company policy. • Conduct site-specific EHS training sessions. • Effectively participate in EHS risk assessments, carry out regular facility audits to identify potential hazards/opportunities. • Work closely with teams to examine incidents' root causes and implement preventive measures. • Regularly analyze EHS performance data, carry out research, and presentations. • Ensure workplace compliance for COVID-19 protection and manage the response protocol. • Oversee the implementation of the contractor safety program. • Develop Safety Risk Assessments (SRAs) for site-specific safety requirements.

• Support local safety committees' initiatives. • Actively involve in various special projects such as emergency response, cost reduction, etc.


Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in EHS • Comprehensive knowledge and hands-on experience with domestic and international EHS regulatory standards, guidelines, such as emergency preparedness, injury and illness prevention, contractor management, workers compensation, and ergonomics. • Strong ability to develop and manage programs. • Excellent communication skills. • Must be open to travel both domestically and internationally. • Experience with course and training development from scratch. • Experience in a similar environment (technology companies preferred), consulting background is a plus. • Certification in First-Aid, AED, and Riddor (not required, but a plus), occupational health, and safety administration is a plus. • A creative background or open to learning new industry is a plus.

This is a temporary contract position with a goal for conversion. The ideal candidate will have strong program development skills and have a record of working with OSHA standards. Being CPR certified is a must.
