Job Description

Purpose: Describe the primary goals, objectives or functions or outputs of this position. This role can be based anywhere in the USA.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Lead Market Access Portfolio Success for the Government Channels
  • Oversee Government Accounts
  • Manage Channel Directors and Executives (Ads and AEs)
  • Strategic Area Planning

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Analytics & Decision-Making
  • Continuous Improvement
  • Performance Accountability

Significant work activities:

  • Continuous sitting for prolonged periods (more than 2 consecutive hours in an 8-hour day)
  • Ideal candidate is located in a metro area aligned to one of AbbVie's corporate offices, including Lake County, Florham Park, NJ and Irvine, CA, however, position could be field based and ideally near a large airport
  • Required travel approximately 30-40% of the time
Qualifications

Basic qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • >7 years sales management experience, or equivalent C-suite account management experience preferred
  • >5 sales and/or marketing related focus experience
  • >3 years account management experience
  • >3 years of market access experience
  • >10 total combined years of health care industry experience
  • Proven management experience leading teams or managing direct reports in a complex, matrixed environment

Preferred qualifications:

  • Advanced degree (e.g., MBA, MPH, or PharmD)
  • Deep understanding of regional payer systems, healthcare policy, and key stakeholders
  • Ability to foster cross-functional collaborations and effectively influence senior leadership
  • Positive, solutions-oriented attitude with a track record of problem-solving in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong analytical and financial acumen to drive data-informed decisions

Salary: $177,000 - $336,000
