divh2Senior Business Analyst/h2pThe Senior Business Analyst participates on a small team of 2-5 business analysts contributing to the planning, design, development, and launching of efficient business, financial, and operations systems in support of core organizational functions and business processes. This includes gathering and analyzing data in support of business cases, proposed projects, and systems requirements./ppThe Senior Business Analyst role requires an advanced understanding of insurance workflows and systems. The successful candidate will be highly motivated, possess an entrepreneurial spirit, have a service mentality, and be comfortable in a fast-paced environment./ppThe Senior Business Analyst is a member of the Surplus Specialty Lines (SSL) Digital Services team, supporting the Underwriting, Claims and Billing Collections business units. SSL underwrites both admitted and non-admitted business for General Liability, Auto, and Excess/Umbrella lines of business across multiple industry verticals, including Contracting, Transportation, Energy, Security, and Environmental./ph2What You Will Do:/h2pStrategy Planning/pulliParticipate in meetings with business stakeholders to identify business, financial, and operations goals/objectives and priorities, system requirements, and identify existing issues./liliParticipate in roadmap planning activities, as required./liliCollaborate with business and IT (Information Technology) Stakeholders in the planning, design, development, and deployment of new applications, and enhancements to existing applications./liliFacilitate or lead design sessions to prototype new systems to enhance business processes, operations, and information process flow./liliReviews the effectiveness and efficiency of the user experience for existing systems and develops strategies for improving or further leveraging these systems./liliEstablish and manage scope and parameters of systems analysis to define predictable outcomes and action plans./liliParticipate in research of third-party software products to support purchase or build decisions./liliConduct analysis to make recommendations or suggest alternatives that address existing and potential trouble areas in operating systems and processes across the organization./li/ulpExecution Delivery/pulliCollaborate with project team to establish and manage the project timeline, delivery milestones, and communication plan for reporting project status./liliProvide systems models, requirement specifications, diagrams, and charts to provide direction to development and quality assurance teams, as required./liliTrack and manage issues based on the findings, complete with probable causes and viable solutions./liliCollaborate with Digital Service teams to ensure compatibility and interoperability of in-house computing systems./liliCoordinate testing of application systems, including quality assurance, performance, and end-user acceptance, reviews for modified and new systems, and other post-implementation support./liliProvide documentation, training materials, orientation, and training to end users for all modified and new systems, as needed./li/ulh2What You Will Bring To CF:/h2pKnowledge Experience/pulliBachelors degree and a minimum of 5+ years specialized experience working as a business analyst within the PC insurance domain/liliExtensive experience in overseeing the design, development, and implementation of Insurance software solutions, systems, or products in support of underwriting, financial or claims application systems./liliGood understanding of PC Insurance domain, preferably Commercial or Specialty Insurance/liliPrior experience working as a PC Underwriter is preferred/liliPrior Binding Authority underwriting experience is a plus/liliDemonstrated project management skills./liliExcellent understanding of the organizations goals and objectives./liliExcellent analytical and creative problem-solving skills./liliExcellent written and oral communication skills./liliExcellent listening and interpersonal skills./liliLogical and efficient with a keen attention to detail./liliAbility to conduct research into systems issues and products as required./liliAbility to communicate ideas in both technical and user-friendly language./liliHighly self-motivated and directed./liliAbility to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment./liliStrong customer service orientation./liliExtensive experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment./li/ulh2What CF Will Bring To You/h2ulliCompetitive compensation package/liliGenerous 401K employer match/liliEmployee Stock Purchase plan with employer matching/liliGenerous Paid Time Off/liliExcellent benefits that go beyond health, dental vision. Salary ranges are available for all positions at this location, taking into account roles with a comparable level of responsibility and impact in the relevant labor market and these salary ranges are regularly reviewed and adjusted in accordance with prevailing market conditions. The annualized base pay for the advertised position, located in the specified area, ranges from a minimum of $87,000 to a maximum of $127,600. The actual compensation is determined by various factors, including but not limited to the market pay for the jobs at each level, the responsibilities and skills required for each job, and the employees contribution (performance) in that role. To be considered within market range, a salary is at or above the minimum of the range. You may also have the opportunity to participate in discretionary equity (stock) based compensation and/or performance-based variable pay programs./p/div
