Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Sales Manager to support and grow key customer accounts in the commercial truck industry. This role is based in the Portland, Oregon area and operates in a hybrid environment, combining remote work with on-site support at customer locations.
The Sales Manager will serve as a primary liaison between customers, internal sales and engineering teams, and suppliers. This position plays a critical role in driving customer satisfaction, supporting technical engagement, and expanding business opportunities in a competitive market.
Key Responsibilities
Account Management
• Manage and support key customer accounts within the commercial truck market
• Build and maintain strong customer relationships to support long-term business growth
Sales & Business Development
• Support sales growth initiatives by identifying opportunities and aligning solutions with customer needs
• Collaborate with internal teams to develop proposals and support customer programs
Technical Collaboration
• Serve as a technical and commercial interface between customers, sales, and engineering teams
• Support technical discussions, product positioning, and solution alignment
Reporting & Communication
• Maintain accurate account forecasts, pipeline tracking, and activity reporting
• Communicate account status, risks, and opportunities to leadership
Leadership & Coordination
• Coordinate cross-functional efforts to ensure successful execution of customer programs
• Support post-sale activities to ensure customer satisfaction and issue resolution
Requirements
Qualifications
Education
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field
Professional Experience
• Proven experience in sales management, account management, or a related role
• Experience in the automotive or commercial truck industry preferred
Skills & Competencies
• Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
• Ability to work cross-functionally in a technical and manufacturing environment
• Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities
Mobility
• Willingness to travel to customer sites as required
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience working with commercial truck or automotive customers
• Familiarity with engineering-driven sales environments
• Bilingual proficiency (English plus Mandarin Chinese and/or Spanish) is a plus
