The Director of Strategic Sourcing will lead our sourcing and procurement strategy, optimize vendor relationships, reduce total cost of ownership, and drive strategic value across the organization. This leader will also champion stakeholder engagement and foster collaborative relationships across all levels of the business.
Role Responsibilities
- Lead the development and execution of sourcing strategies aligned with business goals.
- Analyze business needs and market trends to identify cost-saving opportunities and sourcing efficiencies.
- Drive the proposal process, vendor selection, and contract negotiations.
- Oversee procurement activities across multiple categories, ensuring compliance and value delivery.
- Negotiate business and contract terms to optimize financial and operational outcomes.
- Maintain expertise in specified commodities and track profitability.
- Manage and mentor a high-performing sourcing team.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and accountability.
- Support employee development and succession planning.
- Solicit new business opportunities and partnerships.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and stakeholders.
- Monitor vendor performance and ensure alignment with company standards.
- Engage proactively with internal stakeholders-including Finance, Legal, Operations, and Business Units-to understand needs, align sourcing strategies, and ensure seamless collaboration.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, providing insights and recommendations on sourcing initiatives and risk management.
- Facilitate cross-functional communication to resolve issues, drive consensus, and support organizational objectives.
Role Requirements - Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Minimum of 15+ years of experience in general business, financial, accounting, or related disciplines.
- 7+ years of leadership experience in procurement and contract negotiation in a strategic sourcing or procurement function.
- Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage complex vendor relationships.
- Demonstrated success in stakeholder engagement, relationship management, and influencing without authority across diverse teams.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with a track record of building trust and fostering collaboration at all organizational levels.

Salary The base salary range is $175,000 - $200,000 USD per year, total on target compensation includes a base salary plus a variable target incentive that aligns with individual and company performance.
