Job Summary
The Sr Director of MedTrans is responsible for a region of local and domiciled MedTrans private fleet operations closely coordinating with Corporate MedTrans. The responsibilities include but are not limited to: leading and developing the local management team and support structure, fleet P&L results, driver hiring, safety, fleet expansion, and administration in the region.

Responsibilities
- Develop and grow the local MedTrans management structure in each location to ensure proper bench strength and direct driver engagement.
- Ensure fleet remains in compliance with all federal, state, and local rules and regulations governing fleet operations.
- Ensure all corporate projects are implemented in the region participating in the project requirements gathering, scoping, and recommendations as needed. Coordinate regional inter-branch opportunities to more fully utilize company assets across the region. This includes use of domiciled locations and coordination with the MedTrans Network Services team to fill empty backhaul miles.
- Develop and maintain relationships with the regional and local leadership including Medline Sales Force and Branch Operations Management to ensure service requirements are met and customer service is jointly accomplished and enhanced through fleet delivery.
- Develop and mentor staff through on-boarding, open communication, training and development opportunities and performance management processes; build and maintain employee morale and motivation; ensure the team is appropriately staffed with required competencies.
Required Experience - Bachelor's degree in a business-related field and 4 years of overall Logistics/Transportation relevant experience OR at least 8 years of overall Logistics/Transportation relevant experience with focus on private fleet operations
- 5 years' experience in managing a multi-site private fleet or large regional/local fleet
- Direct experience coaching, mentoring and training staff including hourly drivers, administrative, supervisors, and managers.
- Direct field operational experience working with and developing relationships with drivers.
- Experience applying knowledge of cost components in motor carrier operations.
- Experience with route optimization, electronic proof of delivery, electronic logging device software/hardware, and all private fleet regulatory requirements.
- Advanced skill level in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
Willing to travel up to 50% of the time for business purposes (across the United States).
Preferred Experience - Bachelor's degree in transportation, logistics, or related areas of study.
- Maintaining, or having utilized, a Commercial Driver's License

The anticipated salary range for this position:
$177,000.00 - $266,000.00 Annual
The actual salary will vary based on applicant's location, education, experience, skills, and abilities. This role is bonus and/or incentive eligible. Medline will not pay less than the applicable minimum wage or salary threshold.
