Job Overview

Infrastructure Engineering Inc. (IEI) is looking for a Senior HR Generalist - Recruitment focused to be a key member of the Human Resources Team responsible for delivering full-spectrum HR support with a strong emphasis on attracting, hiring, and retaining top talent. This position requires a seasoned HR Professional with 10+ years of progressive HR experience, deep expertise in Full-life Cycle Recruitment, and the ability to operate effectively as a generalist across all core HR functions. The successful candidate is detail-oriented, professional, and adaptable, with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities while delivering exceptional service to employees and leaders.

The ideal candidate brings prior experience working in the Architecture, Engineering, and/or Construction (AEC/AE) Industry, enabling them to understand project-driven staffing needs and the unique technical skillsets required in civil engineering and infrastructure environments/projects.

In addition to recruitment, this role supports key HR areas including benefits administration, onboarding, I-9 compliance, employee relations, HR data management, policy interpretation, and day-to-day HR operations. This individual will collaborate closely with the HR Team, leaders, hiring manager, and cross-functional teams to support IEI's growth and uphold its culture of Integrity, Excellence, and Ingenuity.

Essential Duties/Functions and Responsibilities:

* Support full-cycle recruitment efforts in collaboration with the Talent Acquisition Specialist and HR Team, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and coordinating hiring processes.

* Use LinkedIn Recruiter to build and maintain talent pipelines for technical, professional, and hard-to-fill AEC roles.

* Assist the Talent Acquisition Specialist in developing sourcing strategies and labor market insights to support hiring managers and the broader HR team.

* Partner with the Senior HR Generalist and HR leadership to maintain accurate and timely HR analytics and reporting using Power BI, HRIS data, and other tools.

* Support onboarding and offboarding processes, including new hire documentation, orientation scheduling, I-9 compliance, exit interviews, and ensuring all transition-related documentation and procedures are completed accurately and timely.

* Assist with benefits administration including benefits meetings, employee inquiries, documentation, and open enrollment coordination.

* Help maintain HR records, systems, and compliance documentation with accuracy and confidentiality.

* Provide general HR support across employee relations coordination, policy interpretation, and day-to-day employee inquiries from the HR Helpdesk Ticketing System, and escalating issues as appropriate.

* Collaborate with HR team members on special projects, HR initiatives, process improvements, and programs that support IEI's growth and employee experience.

* Maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders by delivering responsive, professional, and solutions-focused HR support.

* Register employees for internal IE University (IEU) trainings, assist with coordinating learning activities, and support the ongoing maintenance and organization of the IEU platform.

* Support immigration-related processes and documentation in coordination with HR leadership and external partners.

* Participate in and occasionally lead internal committees, and assist with planning and coordinating employee events and activities.

* Conduct HR and market research to support recruitment strategies, compensation analysis, and broader HR initiatives.

Education and Experience:

* Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, or Psychology; will consider equivalent years of experience above 10 years direct HR experience

* Minimum of 5 years of experience in Recruitment and/or Talent Acquisition role

* HR Certification preferred

* Prior industry experience highly desired (AEC, EPC, Civil/Structural, and/or Construction)

Knowledge and Skills:

*Understanding of human resources practices including HRIS systems as well as analytical reporting (Power BI data modeling, dashboards, reporting, advanced MS Excel skills, etc.)

*Knowledge of HR sourcing techniques on various job boards/social media platforms (Indeed, LinkedIn, ZipRecruiter, etc.); and demonstrated proficiency with LinkedIn Recruiter (projects, campaigns, talent pipelines)

*Strong ability to work as a generalist across benefits, compliance, onboarding, HR operations, and employee relations.

*Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.

*High level of discretion, professionalism and integrity.

*Demonstrate communication skills with attention to details and accuracy both written and verbally

*Must have excellent time management skills; and ability to prioritize and organize tasks and work schedules as well as strong business acumen

*Knowledge of HR laws and HR best practices

*Prior experience in the AEC/AE industry strongly preferred

*Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new software systems

Work Environment

The work environment characteristics described here represent those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job within an office environment. The noise level in the office is generally low to moderate, with occasional periods of increased activity. Working Conditions

* Usually work in a professional office setting 3-4 days per week in a cubicle and/or open office space or a closed office space

*Usually work a standard 40-hour work week

*Sometimes required to work extra hours, including weekends to complete special projects, to attend IEI related events and meetings and keep up with unexpected situations impacting the wellbeing of the Firm and/or operations of the Human Resources Department

*May travel to locally for meetings, conferences, training, etc. as well as to other IEI Markets as requested

Physical Demands

This role requires frequent periods of sitting, including extended time spent working at a computer, participating in virtual meetings, and conducting candidate interviews. The position also requires the ability to stand, walk, and use hands and fingers to operate office equipment. Visual requirements include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus while viewing computer screens, documents, and various digital devices.

On occasion, the employee may be required to reach with hands and arms, handle or feel objects, grasp small items, bend, stoop, or kneel. The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 20 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, such as when assisting with training materials, event supplies, or office equipment.

Pay Range: $75,000 - $90,000 per year
