Spanish Language Data Curator

We are looking for an outstanding individual to help our Data Curation team part-time as a Spanish Language Data Curator. Over the course of this project, the team is responsible for transcribing descriptions of music that power multiple features in Spotify. The goal is to increase the confidence level in the accuracy of our translations, which will eventually impact the way our users interact with some of our music experiences. You'll work in web-based applications we've built to curate and analyze the data, providing corrections and translations for particular words and phrases. Fluent Spanish is required, as is expertise in Spanish language music and music culture. No coding or development experience is needed, but we do require the capacity to learn constantly. This role also requires candidates to be meticulous, creative, and passionate about details! This position is fully remote.

What you'll do

• Work part-time in a field focusing on translation quality data that trains ML models
• Validate or manually translate English terms into Spanish
• Evaluate quality of the iteration of the model as it improves
• Meet weekly and monthly translation targets
• Translate established guidelines into daily work practices
• Contribute to process improvements to reduce handling time and increase output
• Work closely with a small team passionate about data and recommendations quality
